At Beacon Higher, we believe that instruction should exist life-changing — and summer learning is no exception! Our summer programs are about self-discovery, skills evolution and confidence building. We promise students a nifty time as they larn to become better learners while forging new friendships with swain students from across the country. Most importantly, all of our summer plan students get to experience what information technology's like to live — and learn — on a college campus.

Our summer program helps college-spring high school juniors and seniors and recent graduates who learn differently build the skills, confidence and preparation they demand to successfully transition from loftier schoolhouse. Students improve understand their learning differences, recognize early stumbling blocks and know what they need to succeed in their first yr of higher.

Summertime for Success

Cost: $5,450

Our cadre summertime program offers a multifariousness of courses that connect student interests with meaningful training for college. The Imagination Experience

This rail takes advantage of our location in Central Florida to explore the history of Disney and its impact on our culture and economy, focusing both on the four Orlando theme parks and Disney'south movie productions. Students build their academic skills through Disney-themed research, writing, reading comprehension, and disquisitional thinking.

Beyond Imagination!

This expanded "Imagination" program looks at Disney and much more – exploring the culture of escapism through not only theme parks, just attractions of all sizes. Students learn to remember more critically and abstractly well-nigh the world of tourism, hospitality, and sociology through excursions, backside-the-scenes tours, and thematic guest speakers.

To apply to any of our 2022 summer high school programs, please consummate the following steps. Applications and related documents are accepted by electronic mail, fax, or mail.

  • Pace two – Submit the post-obit documents:
    • Official high school transcripts showcasing work completed to date
    • Two Letters of Recommendation (Download the Summer for Success Recommendation Class)
    • Psychoeducational testing or IEP/504 documents (Optional but encouraged)
  • Stride iii – Complete a family interview. After your application documents are received, nosotros will attain out to you to schedule your personal interview.
  • Stride 4 – After y'all are accepted to the program, you lot will be invited to make a form selection. View grade options to prepare for your option.
